Rotary Radio UK - New Studios

Rotary Radio UK moved into their new studios at The Oast in Sittingbourne, Kent on the 2 July 2020. We still have a lot of work to but we hope to have this completed by the end of the month, we will then post some photos of the new studios.

Rotary Radio UK Dance - 5 October 2019

On Saturday the 5 October 2019 we held a fundraising dance at the Criterion Theatre with the funds raised being shared by Rotary Radio UK and Blue Town Remembered (the Criterion charity). We had a great local band Loose Change supported by Grainne Ryan.

There was an excellent fish and chip supper, it was a fantastic evening with lots of dancing and the many Rotarians went away very happy.

We were pleased to welcome the men in lycra to RRUK as they stopped off at The Criterion on their regular cycle outing.

Matthew Scott - Police Commissioner for Kent

On the 6 June 2019 we had a visit from Matthew Scott Police Commissioner for Kent. Steve interviewed Matthew on air and the interview is available to listen to on the Play Again page of this website.

The Criterion Theatre, 10th Anniversary Presentation

To mark this important milestone on the 5 June 2019, Steve Wood CEO of Rotary Radio UK accompanied by the local Mayor presented Jenny Hurkett of The Criterion Theatre with an Amazon Echo for the Cafe.

We are broadcasting special messages we received from Barry Rassin, President of Rotary International, and Debbie Hodge, President of Rotary International Britain and Ireland. Also Rotary South East District Governor Brenda Parsons called in with her latest news including that The Academy school on the Isle of Sheppey has been priased as one of the best schools in the South East for helping with dementia support projects.
